Admission Requirements for the Four Year Programme:

A(i)     West African School Certificate or its approved equivalent with credit passes in at least five subjects which should include English Language, Mathematics and Economics and any other two subjects (obtained in not more than two sittings, or equivalent (credit) passes in the General Certificate of Education at the Ordinary Level (also obtained in not more than two sittings), or equivalent credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate.

Merit passes in English and Mathematics at the Teachers Grade II Certificate Examination may be accepted as equivalent to credit passes in West African School Certificate or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level in the same subjects.

Admission Requirements for the Three Year Programme:

B(i)     Requirements in A(i) above
PLUS
Two subjects at the GCE A/L or HSC, one of which should be Accounting
and the other either Economics or Business Management.

In Exceptional Cases, The Following Qualifications May Also Be Considered.

B(ii)    Requirements in A(i) plus
A complete pass in the intermediate examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or of any other equivalent professional Accounting body, OR

B(iii)   Requirements in A(i) plus
Passes in all parts of the Associate-ship Examination of the
Institute of Bankers OR

B(iv)    Requirements in A(i) plus
The Ordinary National Diploma in Accounting or any relevant subject (Passed with a minimum average of upper credits) from a recognized State or Federal, Polytechnics or College of Technology.

B(v)     Requirements in A(i) Plus
The Diploma in Accounting/Banking and Finance and any other relevant area with a minimum credits pass from the University of Benin or any other recognized University.

B(vi)    A Higher National Diploma in any relevant subject awarded by a recognized State, Federal, Polytechnic or College of Technology.

B(vii)   A Bachelor’s Degree in any subject awarded by a recognized University.
